Right around two years ago i was charged with serious offences which could of got me an life prison term. in april this year i was found not guilty of all charges as the judge direct the jury as there was no dna match and the evidence pointed elsewhere

today i was speaking to one of my colleagues and told them i was awarded a sum of money from the Police and CPS and had all my record removed, dna removed from the Police national computer.

if he tells my manager can my manager sack me or suspened me. as i wish i never told him now i told him as i have a lot of trust in him not to tell anyone.

so if my manager gets told. can he sack me or anything

First of all, let me say that I'm no "legal eagle", but from what you've said above, how can he sack you? It doesn't appear from the above info' that you were held in custody for any length of time initially, so that you couldn't continue with your everyday work activities. Had that been the case, I think you would have been sacked there and then. Now, 2 years on, you've been found not guilty of all charges, so in my opinion, you'll be fine.

By the way, congratulations. :D

Thanks since after the case i fell an different person. I used to be very outgoing and happy, very jokefull and chatative. but now i don't go out much, very quite as i fear that this could happen again. a lot of my friends have said iam an changed person.

I do own my life to paul as he stopped me from trying to kill myself just before my trail. I nearly jumped under an train because i felt i would rather be dead then in prison for around 14 years

Thaks for all your advise.

What made me laugh is after 3 days of questioning i was released and when i came back they charged me and offered me an caution. saying thst if i take the caution then they will drop the case.

I refused the caution and then it went to trail

Just on that not theyy offered a cautio on an offence tha you could spend 14 years inside for. Hmmmm you were having your leg pulld my friend. If you had said Yeah I'l take a caution you were admitting guilt in effect.

Ok back on topic. You were found not guilty on all charges, this meaing you had comitted no ciminal offence. If your work colleague were to inform your boss and in turn he were to sack you then your response would have be on what grounds. He cant obvously imply your a criminal as a court says your not, dna says your not and the evidence pointing elsewhere says your not. He wouldn't have a leg to stand on and if you were to make a fuss then assuming he himself has superiors then they wouldn't be best pleased with him. I don't think you will have anything to worry about, I mean does your colleague really want to alienate himself with other employees by running to the boss telling tales, he wouldn't be trusted for it.

congrats on getting off, its not often that when someone that hasn't done anything doesn't get charged an then gets a payout for the inconvenience !

well this case was just so rare and quite crazy. the Police Officer was Relived off duty as he had done Gross Misconduct! The IPCC Investagated they reccomand the police to wipe my dna record and police national record which i was surprized and gave me an small amount of money. thing i should of got more but still i can treat myself to a few new things. I was surprized to get a latter stating that everything was deleted. expect from the court docs.

Correct mate, but more importantly, Chris could probably take his new employer to an industrial tribunal, and win another payout (although I'm sure he just wants to keep his job).
