hooked!!!!!

hi everyone just a funny fishing thing that happind to me
i was at a fishery stocked with trout,you could catch them with
anything,anyway we where there severel hours caught loads
i was usin a spinner about 10inches with a big treble the last
cast a big trout took it really heavy as i was about to land it,
the hook came out with great tension and hooked me in the side
of my head!!so i tried to pull out but wouldnt with the barb then my
mates came,well they where rolling about laughin at my expense
and try as we could wouldnt come out,and them laughin so much
didnt help lol after about an hour decided to go to hospital but i looked
so fuuny i was so red faced gave it one more try.....and it came out
haha what a relif would never had lived it down,waitin at a&e with
big spinner hooked to my head lol well hope i have brought a smile
to your face

brought back memories for me there did the same .. i was ledgering struck at a bite .. lead flew over my head size 8 hook straight in my crowning glory .. (head) my mate was almost in tears with laughter . fat lot of good he was.. there was i with a hook and worms stuck in my head.. he had to push the hook all the way through and cut off the barb. then still laughing he pulled the hook out ..
i went home saying it was this big. and it was the truth for once .. :nod::bigsmile::bigsmile:

same thing happened to me, i was fishing at the local harbour with a handline aged about 13, threw it out and the hook went right through my thumb. no-one about to help(of any use anyways) and my mate just about wet himself.

I think we've all done this @ one time or another. The funniest one for me:

i was fishing a very well stocked water and I was just about to whack out a PVC bag & 3oz lead - Rod positioned behind me and as I brought it over, my mate decided to walk behind me and I hooked him big time.
Ah well, his fault !!

I gave up fly fishing for the same reason I was allways hooking myself in the head :LOL:
